What do you think about this??

I made this over the weekend. What do you think? I may list on etsy. I will take orders if anyone out there wants one.
This is one side...

This is the other side...

A side view of it...

It measures approx. 12" long, 8" tall and 3 1/2" wide. It is made from printed material and an old pair of hubby's blue jeans! RECYCLE :) It is HANDMADE....so it is not perfect in anyway! I've handstitched some and it does not look "STORE BOUGHT" ... it is HANDMADE WITH LOVE!!! I had a good time making this and do plan to make more! Hopefully I'll be able to sell some to make a little cash to take with me on my scrappin' weekend coming up in....7 weeks! Yes.. I am counting the days and minutes to go!!

Tell me what you think, will I be wasting my time by listing on etsy or do you think I can do it?? Just want some opinions and BE HONEST!! I need some constructive critism please... but be nice :)
Happy Scrappin'
Have a good night all!!!

Good Morning...

I am about to go to work and just wanted to post a little bit. I've been kind of down in the dumps lately... won't go in to all the details, but just blah-y. I was sitting here this morning and something occurred to me to lift my spirts a little.

Last week a girl came in and gave me $20 to pay for her class for this past Sat. I took it and put it in my purse. I was leaving work and walked by a lady sitting in her car crying talking to someone on her cell phone. I got in my car to go home and it was all I could do not to walk back up and talk to her. I'd overheard her say "we don't have any money". I felt like I should give her my $20. Well, I didn't and I'd prayed God would give me another opportunity to give. At church that night they collected the offering and I opened my purse to get $1.00 out ... there was the $20. So I gave my $1 + the $20. I didn't think anything else about it and yesterday I got a check from CTMH!! It was more than the $20. I knew it was coming, but just expected it later... I've always heard if you give for, and to, the Lord, you will be blessed greater than what you gave. It is always true!! Just a little thought for you !!

Well, I'd better go get ready or else I'll be late :)
Hope you all have a great day!!
God Bless and Happy Scrappin'

Another layout...

I usually don't scrap much for myself I just do for my classes. But I've been on a roll this summer! I've done quite a few layouts. I finished this one today. The pictures of me aren't very good, but it is me. I always look for picutures that are "good"...not the ones that are "real". I will start doing that differently.

I am back to enjoying scrapbooking. Does anyone else ever have a dry spot or a burned out feeling? I get that way and just hate digging all my stuff out and having to come up with an idea and then finding pictures for it and making myself do the layout. I usually like what I've done, but it was a struggle. This layout was different and the one for my class. I just cut the paper up and stuck it down with not a whole lot of thought what so ever. It took the hard work out and brought back the PLAY! I'm glad :)

I'm going to go upload LOTS of pictures to Shutterfly and start printing some off that way. I love the quality of the prints and the cost and shipping is good too!

Have a great day!!!

Close To My Heart class today...

We had our monthly class/gathering today and this is the layout I taught in our class.
I LOVE these new papers and stickers and rubons and inks, oh I just love it ALL!! It is called Perfect Day.
Hope you like it :)

I've been busy getting ready for this all week. I'm always glad to teach and see everybody, but I'm so tired from it all when I get home. I've never understood that. I'm usually more tired after a day like this than if I'd worked all day. I just don't get that. I'm just drained. :) but happy!
Hope all is well out in everybody's BLOG LAND tonight.
Have a good night and Happy Scrappin'

UNUSUAL Visitor???

Today I looked out the window and saw the stangest thing on the bucket of my wishing well in the front yard. I took my camera and started snapping pictures thinking, ok, this thing is going to come out of here and flog me.. but I got closer and closer. He just sat there looking at me. He was beautiful! I don't know what kind of bird he was though. Here are lots of pictures of this little unusual visitor.

I told Hunter to go and get a handful of birdseed, but he was NOT interested in what Hunter had to offer!

I was afraid he was going to bite Hunter's hand instead of taking the food, so we aborted that plan immediately! He jumped, more like flapped, over to the edge of the wishing well and just stayed there watching us all. He finally got up on the top bar where the bucket hangs from. He finally flew down when I tried to take more pictures of him. I guess he thought he'd had enough.

I also go to get some really good close ups of my hummingbirds. They flew within inches of my head! I was afraid one might use my ear as a feeding tube!! :)

This is my oldest... ain't he a handsome feller?

He is 17 and this much bigger than I am, but it doesn't take much since I'm only 5 feet tall!

These are some more of my adorable WILD CREATURES!!

I guess I'm makin' up for lost time on here today, hu?? :) Sorry for the long blog but this was a REALLY eventful day!!
I got my threading water punch in the mail today and so I think I'm going to go play with it and make some cards or something...
Have a good night!
Happy Scrappin'!!

I'M STILL HERE!!!

I have been busy, tired and just plain lazy lately! I've not been on here in ahwile, and it is so hard to find the time to blog since I've gone back to work. I use up every minute of my time and when it is TIME to actually blog I'm too tired. I hate having to work! DON'T WE ALL!!! In a nice world I could spend all my time with my scrappy blogging friends and make things all day long!! Now, if I could just find a way to make money at it!!?? But it's not all bad!! I got paid last Wed. That was GOOD!!!

I was able to get a few things this week... a new paper trimmer. Mine is the BIG one from Fiskars, the black one with the 15" swing arm. I LOVE that kind. I had the purple one and used it so much I had it where it wouldn't cut straight anymore. It was a good one!! So I bought a new one like it, just black. I need to get the scoring blade for it. My hubby also brought me in two Martha Stewart border punches. I love these! One is lace, the other is more of a zig zag that embosses and cuts. I ordered the Fiskars Threading Water punch and can't wait to get it. I have my class coming up next weekend and want to use it for the class. I get my BIG Close To My Heart order in on Monday and can't wait to play with all the new goodies! I started with 9 people in the class and it grew to 15!! I've got 2 ladies that may get to take it too, if so that would be 17! I can't believe when I started back in Feb. that I only had 3 gals there! Something is going right!!

Being a CTMH consultant is one of the best things I stumbled onto. I love it! It gives me a way to get to teach again and make a little extra money and get some free goodies too! If anyone is interested in learning more, email me and I'll get you signed up. You can get started doing what YOU love! I have lots of ideas for upcoming classes and will be posting some of them here when I get them finished.

I'm lovin' all the Halloween stuff out there now. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't agree with some of the Halloween "hard core" dress up stuff, but the ghosts and witches with the haunted house in the background, the creepy tree with the full moon and the spooky owl sitting on the limb, that is what I like. Fall is one of my favorite seasons! I'm hoping to get to go with James in the big truck some this fall (didn't go in the summer).. I want to see the trees as they are changing colors. He goes up in the hills some and they are beautiful I'm sure.

I put up 2 more hummingbird feeders in my little water garden. That made me 3 feeders in all for them. Those little guys have been going nuts since then! I sat on the bench yesterday and they were so close I could have reached out and touched them. They are beautiful! Protective of their feeders though! Right now there is one sitting "on gaurd". If another gets close, she will fly off her perch and run the "intruder" off. They are so funny to watch.

Well, I've rambled on long enough...I'll post some purdy flower pictures later.
