This is an altered tissue box..........
I made this with my Crazy Daisy kit yesterday...I started out making a cutsie desktop trash can, but now I don't know if I want to put trash in it or not. I covered the whole thing with a piece of gray Basic Grey paper from the kit. Then just embellished all over.
I got this idea from THIS POST on Jennifer McGuire's blog. She shows a video on how to make a blooming flower with alcohol inks and folding a flower up. This was a yellow flower before I started and used Stream alcohol ink to dye it. I like the way it turned out :) Seems to be easy enough and turns out to look like a blooming flower! Then I "TRIED" to doodle a stem... just can't get that doodle "thang" down!
Here's a close up of my bloomin' flower
This side has a piece of torn jeans...idea came from Donna Salazar
With this side I used one of the conchos from the kit on the bottom. I flattened it out with my little Tim Holtz texturizing hammer. I just beat on it until it was flat and just cut a sticker out and stuck it in the middle. The base for this side was a piece of dictionary paper.
This is the top embellished with another inspiration from Donna Salazar. Just cut a small scallop with a GIGA punch and ink it, scrunch it, and wad it up in the middle and put some glue on the bottom and just shape it up until it looks like a flower.
So sorry for the quality of these pictures... just could not get good ones no matter what I tried!
