I found something similar to this on Pinterest tonight. I decided to give it a whirl and I do like my results. It's the same concept but different size. The direct link to the Pinterest page is http://pinterest.com/pin/259246352/
Maybe that will work. Blogging on my phone does prevent a few easy clicks that I could do on my desktop.
Happy October! Can't wait to finish my other projects! And this project can be adapted to all holidays! More details later on how I made it.

Bread, homemade!

So my sis is on a health food kick, so I guess I've got one leg up on that band wagon and tryin my best to get on. She gave me the recipe for bread and I thought surely I can't do that... But I did! I used my stand mixer and it would not turn in to a dough ball. Well, she said it took ALOT of flour and it did! It finally made it's way into a ball and I was able to get it out and knead it. I let it rise, but it wasn't poofing up. I was so discouraged! After all that work I just knew it wasn't going to turn out. My hubs told me to have patience, something I've never had too much of. After about an hour it "poofed" but the bowl it was in was so big that the poofing went out instead of up! So when i punched it down it was like punching a PILLOW! To my surprise-again- it was soft, warm, and doughy just like she said it would be! I cooked it and was amazed that with just a little of this and a lot of that I could make 2 loaves of bread for my family to enjoy. It was a lot of work but now I know why they say a lot of love went in to making something. Hard work= love.

upgraded to an iPhone 4 today and love it!!! Found this new app called Labelbox. You have got to go get it!! Great for scrapbookers!!! Yep this is me "natural" been a long day so the makeup is long gone!

Waiting on Winter

I used to hate winter, snow, cold weather in general. But now I love it!
I pass by this old barn every time I go out to get to town. I've taken a ton of photos of it and I think this is my favorite one. This Camera + App is also my favorite one EVER! You can take a plain ole picture and make it beautiful with just one or two filters/frames. Can't wait to take more. Maybe they will come up with a bigger program for regular computer usage- that is this easy to use?

He wanted to ride the bus....

He didn't want me to take him today. He wanted to ride the bus instead. He was running late (the bus) and I offered to take him and said no he'd wait. I remember when he was little and would cry when I had to leave him at daycare.... Where have those days gone?

Playing with more iPhone apps

This is my son Hunter and his girlfriend Becca. I took a ton of pictures yesterday and wanted to see if I could combine two apps and it worked! I used the camera + app first then Instagram. I really like how it turned out.
Today is our first day of school and it feels so fresh and new! I'm sure il be back later with more Picts.

My next project

This one is in the works... Painted the background and drew the gal then scanned her onto some tissue paper. Next I gotta paint her and that's what I'm worried about because I can't seem to get my colors right. Any suggestions??

.... is what I made today! I was playing around and liked what happened.  I posted it on Facebook... and someone asked me about a price. So I've decided to make them for $25 with the frame and $22 if you provide your frame.  The frame will be different than the one shown here as it is one I "stole" from the wall in the bathroom :-)  The name can be changed to anything you wish as long as it is 14 (or less) letters. I can't fit more than that in and get the size needed.  Also, it could be anyword you choose. The letter will also be different as the font I used has different decoration around each different letter.

This one is 8X10 and can hold up to 14 letters. It is made of vinyl attached to cardstock and both colors can be changed. If anyone out there is interested in one of these drop me an email and I'll get you the details.

I'm still trying!

I've still got a ways to go but maybe now I'm at least on the right track! Liking the one on the left side better than the one on the right. Off to get some housework done so I can paint some more!!!
