I'm on a roll!

This is a page I made last night using a 12X12 piece of cardboard from work. Well, it started out as a 4'X4' sheet of cardboard and I cut it down. I found Donna Salazar a few months ago and she uses lots of denim, cardboard, lace and labels from the label maker on her pages and I love the look of it all! So when I found the huge piece of cardboard at work I knew what I needed to do! It was free and I can get TONS of it! It comes between the pallets of groceries when they come off the truck. I found some older pictures of my mom with Dakota and used the Tres Jolie paper from My Mind's Eye that I've had stashed away forever. I really like how it tured out.BUT... now that I see it here I'm thinking maybe it should have more color in it.

I used a rubber stamp from Purple Onion (I WAS A MONTHLY WINNER AT SISTERHOOD OF SCRAP AND WON A HUGE SET OF UNMOUNTED RED RUBBER STAMPS FROM PURPLE ONION)...anyway I painted on the cardboard and used Prima flowers (the old ones... I don't go anywhere where they sell them :( Hopefully, I'll get hooked up on ebay with someone who can get me some!)
The intricate scallop was cut using my Cricut Expression and the Design Studio. The more I use it, the more I LOVE IT!!

I cut flowers with my Sizzix die cutter...gotta love that old thing! I cut them out of vintage dictionary pages. I saw where Donna does that and so I had to try it and LOVE IT!

Look at his little face! He loves his mawmaw!! They have been close since day one! I had Dakota about 8 months after daddy passed away. I think having him was a double blessing! He was a gift to me and for mom :) He kept her busy when she needed it the most! This was taken in 2002, I believe. So he was 2 years old. I miss him being that little!

I'm off to do another page and get ready for my class tomorrow. I'm also going to start making some Christmas cards too! I got my new stamps in today from CTMH and can't wait to use them!!
Happy Scrappin'
Lisa
