Finally, things I've been doing :)

This is the layout we are doing for the class I'm teaching in a couple of weeks. It isn't completely done, I've got to find some pictures for it, but this is basically it. Used all CTMH product (That's Amore paper, stickers, and journaling jots, Priceless Love word puzzle stamp set, rub ons, Botique Borders stamp set, and Large Chocolate alphabet stamp set), handmade paper embellishments, scalloped scissors, and my Cricut for the large die cut.
I know, YOU AND ME may not sound right- should be YOU AND I, but we are in the south and anything goes around here :)

Here is a close up of my paper buttons, (that is what I'm calling them). Just different sized punched circles, roughed up edges completed with a button on top. CUTE!

Table full of mini paper buttons before I distressed the edges of each and every one of them... lots of work, but they are so worth the effort to make.

This is the mini book that we will be doing to match the layout above. It is made using the Top Note Sizzix die from Stampin' Up! and all the rest is from Close To My Heart using the That's Amore paper, stickers, and journaling spots. Sorry the pictures are a little blurry. Think you can get the general idea of what it is.

Happy Valentines Day!

Good morning and Happy Valentines Day! I got my header up and have lots to share today. I've been kitting for my next class coming up in a couple of weeks. I've been making what I call paper buttons. Not quite sure if you call them that or flowers. You'll see.... I've got lots of picts to put up later. Right now I've got to go and start sanding and sewing...

Hope you have a LOVEly day!

Under Construction

As you can see I'm trying to re-do my blog. I'm going to have to get the header up later, so it will be mis-matched for a bit :)

Hello again.....

It has been awhile since I was last on. Since then, I got myself a laptop. I LOVE it. I hooked us up a wireless router and now I can blog from my couch, or the bed or the porchswing on pretty days. Maybe it will make my blogging easier, or make me lazier. Hmmmmm... I wish my blog had yummy things like giveaways and great inspiration the people would return to daily to get their fill, or something intelligent to say to everybody. Nope, not mine, just rattling on with really nothing to say at all, well, sometimes I do have something to say or post that has somewhat got meaning. But NOT today. Just a reason to use my laptop and I'm home from work sick today... so my brain is telling me to go make something, but the body says don't move anything but fingers and eyeballs. I was up late last night because of the severe weather that blew thru here. It was scary and we were under a tornado warning, but it was north of us. No touchdowns were reported so that was a blessing for lots of people. Well, think I'm going to go and sneeze my head off for a while now. I do have some crafty things to "show and tell" but they will just have to wait for another day. OH, and in my last post I was planning to do a video walk thru of my scraproom for you.... I am still going to do it, but it too will have to wait. Have lots of good intentions, but somehow they don't make it from point A to point B. But this is much easier, to blog in the comfort of my big comfy couch. Maybe I can do more this way... we'll see :)

Happy Scrappin' from a sneezy girl!

The Deep Freeze! Lots of pictures....

We were hit last week with ice and MAJOR power outtages. Some people have still not got their power back. My mom just got her's turned back on Sunday....it went off on Tues. I think. Ours went out Tues. morn. and stayed off for what seemed like an eternity. We, er well, my husband cooked out on the grill for us for supper on Tues and Wed nights. By Thursday I hadn't got to wash my hair or shower and was about to go nuts staying here with no contact to the "outside world". He told me to look for a motel room in the town we live close to, so I did. I think I got the last room available period. BUT... wouldn't you know it, he called about 8 that night and our power was back on. It stayed on until yesterday morn. It went out sometime in the early morn. because I woke up at 5 am in the dark. It came on again last night. We are very fortunate because we had heat and it wasn't off nearly as long as some. Here are a few pictures from the Winter Blast '09.. that is what the TV called it.

This is the rental house we used to live in... the kids played out there under those trees at one time :)

This is the cemetary in town... where my dad is. There is a tombstone under the tree limb, if you look close you can see it.

...looking back up the hill toward my dad's headstone

This is over by my dad's headstone...these are huge cedar trees and the limbs were everywhere.

This is daddy....the one with the cross in front of it.

There were some really pretty trees to be seen.

and this is beautiful, I know what it is...but look at it. It really is pretty, to me anyway.

This one is the view from the hill my dad is buried at. It is beautiful...

Our park and lots of tree limbs down...

and last but not least...one of my cutsie nieces... look at the little arms stuck in her overalls!

Look at those eyes!!

I haven't been on in quite awhile and I hate being a bad blogger! Seems like things have just been upside down for this reason then that one! But maybe I'll get back on track before long....maybe I can post regularly, we'll see.

Happy Scrappin' and good night!
